Your journey as Mrs. Classique Globe 2023 is truly remarkable. How has this prestigious title influenced your efforts in advocating for mental health awareness with SAMH?
Winning Mrs. Classique Globe 2023 has provided me with a significant platform to advocate for SAMH, the Singapore Association of Mental Health. It has helped me reach a wider audience through various events and campaigns to raise awareness and promote mental well-being. I had the honor of being on a panel of speakers last year to share my thoughts on managing the mental health of teenagers.
As the Spokeswoman for Win Foundation, your dedication to empowering women is evident. Could you share some of the impactful initiatives you’re leading to promote gender equality?
As the spokesperson for the WIN Foundation, I am deeply committed to empowering women, promoting gender equity, and supporting efforts to prevent any form of violence and abuse, as well as raising funds for women in need. Last year we had a mini fundraiser dinner, and this year I am looking forward to raising more funds for this great cause through selling charms and charm bracelets.
Your role as Mrs. Community Ambassador demonstrates your deep commitment to serving others. Can you share a meaningful experience where your involvement made a tangible difference in your local community?
Being Mrs. Community Ambassador has allowed me to help in my local area. We organized a mental health workshop to help people learn about mental health and how to take care of themselves in terms of mental well-being. I enjoy the platform given to me to spread more love and help others.
Winning the title of Mrs. Photogenic 2023 is a testament to your natural charm and poise. How do you leverage your platform to inspire others and promote self-confidence?
Winning Mrs. Photogenic 2023 has allowed me to show others that everyone is beautiful in their own way. Photography is one avenue for me to express myself, and I use social media to share messages about loving yourself and being confident. Beauty also comes from within.
Balancing advocacy work with pageant responsibilities requires skill and dedication, yet you handle it with such grace. What advice would you give to aspiring pageant contestants looking to make a positive impact like you?
Believe that you can change others’ mindsets in pageants, stay true to yourself, be kind, and remember that dreams do come true. We have the ability to manifest the life we want.
Your influence as a beauty queen and advocate is undeniable. How do you see your role evolving in the future to continue your impactful work?
In the future, I will continue to motivate others to promote causes close to their hearts; for me, that is Mental Health. I aim to build a happy and positive environment for our youth to live in. I recently went back to school to pursue my advanced diploma in Psychology. This is just another step in the direction for me to expand my understanding and reach on Mental Health.
We’re eager to hear about your future endeavors. Can you give us a glimpse into any upcoming projects or collaborations you’re excited about in your role as a beacon of beauty and advocacy?
I’m back to studying psychology and working on projects with groups to help people with mental health issues. I’m also starting the IG Show – Lighthouse by Lucia, aiming to inspire younger generations by emphasizing that age is just a number and sharing secrets on staying youthful with tried-and-true products.
We’ll also discuss the positive mindset that keeps you young, spreading positivity through the pageant platform.
