Victoria Franco: Wearing the Crown with Purpose

Ioana Mihalache in Ramshackle: A Story of Struggle, Hope, and Artistic Reckoning
July 21, 2025

Fresh from being crowned Miss Australia 2025, Victoria Franco is more than a vision of beauty—she’s a model, spiritual seeker, animal advocate, and a woman on a mission. We sat down with her to talk about her journey, her values, and the future she envisions both on and off the global stage.

You’ve recently been crowned Miss Australia 2025 and will represent your country on the international stage. What does this title mean to you personally, and how do you hope to use it to make an impact?

Being crowned Miss Australia 2025 is both an honour and a responsibility. It’s not just about representing beauty on the international stage—it’s about carrying the spirit, diversity, and resilience of my country with me. For me, this title is an opportunity to be a voice for causes close to my heart, especially animal welfare and the promotion of holistic health and wellness. I want to inspire people to live consciously, embrace their individuality, and understand that true beauty radiates from compassion and self-respect.

As both a model and a public figure, how do you balance the glamorous aspects of your career with the discipline and resilience it requires behind the scenes?

The glamorous side of modelling—the gowns, the red carpets, the photo shoots—is only the tip of the iceberg. Behind every polished image are years of discipline, self-care, early mornings, and late nights. I keep my “why” at the centre of everything I do. I treat my body like an athlete’s—nourishing it, training it, and resting it. Resilience comes from knowing the industry is competitive and unpredictable, but my values and vision keep me grounded through it all.

You are also a student of Kabbalah. How has this spiritual path influenced your perspective on life, beauty, and success?

Kabbalah has taught me that everything in life holds deeper meaning, and that our outer world reflects our inner state. Beauty, to me, is no longer just physical—it’s the light you carry and the way you make others feel. Success is measured not only by what you achieve, but by the growth you experience and the positive impact you leave behind. This spiritual journey has grounded me in authenticity, even in an industry that can be highly image-focused.

You collaborate with global brands and grace the covers of magazines. How do you choose the projects you work on so they align with your values and personal brand?

When I choose a project, I ask myself two questions: Does it align with my values? and Will it inspire or uplift someone? I’m drawn to brands and publications that share my commitment to ethical practices, empowerment, and celebrating individuality. Whether it’s a luxury fashion campaign or a charity initiative, I ensure my work reflects the kind of role model I aspire to be—stylish yet mindful, ambitious yet grounded.

Looking ahead, what are your biggest ambitions—both within the modelling and pageant world, and beyond it?

Within the modelling and pageant world, I want to continue breaking boundaries, representing Australia internationally with authenticity and purpose. But my vision goes far beyond the stage—I aspire to use the recognition I’ve earned to create meaningful change. I plan to launch initiatives that combine beauty, wellness, and education, empowering young women to embrace their individuality and inner strength. I also dream of expanding my work in animal welfare, creating sustainable programs that protect and care for vulnerable animals worldwide. For me, the ultimate goal is to build a legacy where glamour meets genuine impact.
